Carving through the Scottish lowlands, the newly restored Forth & Clyde and Union Canals are linked by the world famous 'Falkirk Wheel'. A mobile phone is a must on these waterways, to pre-book passage through the locks and bridges, which all manned by British Waterways' staff.
