Worcester Hire Base

Routes from Worcester can incorporate at least some time on the River Severn, a stately stretch of water, with less locks than canal cruising (and they are worked for you as well!) In contrast the Worcester Birmingham canal has a total of 58 locks (including the Tardebigge Flight) along its route up through glorious Worcester countryside on its journey to the city of Birmingham.

Stoke Prior and Return

Canal cruising through lovely Worcestershire countryside.

 

Stourton Junction and Return

4 nights, 23 hours cruising, 42 locks.

North up the River Severn and then along the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal, a wonderful blend of river and canal, town and countryside.

Wightwick (Staffordshire) and Return

7 nights, 37 hours cruising, 72 locks

As with the trip above to Stourton, but carrying on up as far as Wightwick, taking in one of the prettiest canals in England, before retracing your route home.
